indeed. I used to have the 8443 also, but I sold that one a while back. The 8445 used to be in my other car but I just replaced it with an alpine w205 touch screen dvd.

have you tried rubbing a pen around the edge of the CD?

**UPDATE**
I got the big 3 finished. Im about to go take a pic. Ran the 0/1ga. Boy was that a b!tch. Ended up running it under the car and poking a hole through the floor where the rear seat was. I followed the frame all the way back and zip tied the wire to a stablizing bar of some sorts. There is no chance for the wire to get pinched or damaged in any way so Im safe.

DAMN... That look sweet. My buddy my brother & I built a 3 Sub woofer box for his Ford Escort Hatchback. 1 ported the other 2 enclosed. U could hear him 4 streets away from the house. Freaking sick system and sick box.

here is the basic idea of what it is going to look like. The amps will be covered by the false floor and the big open area behind the passenger seat will be a covered storage area that will be flush with the false floor.

got the sub hooked up and the mono amp. The thing is friggin loud when I want it to be but it actually sounds pretty decent for SQ when its turned down a bit. I havent made the kicks yet nor do I have the wiring for the crossovers/speakers. I have decided that the crossovers are going to be a stealth install. They will be mounted where the rear speakers used to be (behind the grill).

You're making really quick progress.  Still anxiously anticipating the false floor but everything looks professional so far!
