i realize that.  cut the wire in the kick panel, the side that goes to the door is switch, the side that goes to the car is motor.  This aint my first rodeo

yep, thanks for the help on that. They didnt work at first but I checked the relays with a DMM and they werent getting power. I checked the fuse and it was obliterated. Must have happened when the wires burned up when I had it wired for 5 wire reverse polarity.

Hey got a question.  When you wired up the door lock relays, did you just wire as per the 5 wire 12+ diagram on the12volt.com in the drivers side kick only?  Basically will the relays in the drivers side do both locks?

exactly what he said. In fact, I was able to stuff the alarm brain and all the relays into the panel behind the kick after making all the connections.

Yeah I can unlock from there.  Obviously it has 2 seperate switches one for each door.  Just wanted to make sure that wiring it up like that is correct.  Got lots of wiring to do tomorrow.  :S

edit:  Stupid how if you want full access behind the kick that the ebrake peddle needs to be removed.  So did you have the wires come out of the grommet to goes to the truck? or did you just have them come out behind the access panel to the kick?

P.S.  I hate unwrapping old electrical tape!

I didnt have to remove the e-brake pedal in my 1st gen. I had to remove the release handle but not the pedal. I only have 1 wire going into the engine bay for my alarm - the wire for the siren. I drilled a hole to the right of the master cylinder (if you are looking at it) and ran the wire to behind the kick.

Hows this look?  The blue wire is going to go to the motor/away from the door.  Red wire to the swtich/door. White wire unlock.  Black wire  lock.   The yellow wire to a  fused 12 volt.  Sound right?

I thought it was because they both go to either motor or lock.

each 87a goes to a different wire ((lock or unlock) and both 30's go to different wire (lock or unlock).

the only that should be tied together is 12v constant.

so on relay 1 (lock)
87a towards switch
30 towards motor on the WHITE wire in the car

relay 2
87a towards switch
30 towards motor on BLACK/WHITE wire in the car.
