1979 Chevrolet Blazer with a 1990 K5 Blazer body
Miles read 64,000 miles. But motor and trans have been rebuilt at one time I know. Cause they are not original.
The truck has been lifted (6" back/4" in the front) 3/4 ton leaf springs and rancho shocks were installed all around. The truck also has a tow rack. Also has 35" tires
Carbureted (650cfm Edelbrock w/electric choke) 350 engine and turbo 350 transmission. Both are strong. Dual exhaust w/ headers.
Does this sound like a good investment?? I just bought it, the truck looks mint, doesn't need much other than speedo cables, a/c unit and cables and e-brake lines. Anyone else have something similar. Just looking to see what other mods i can do to it??

Welcome to the site.
Sounds like a great truck and there are tons fo things you can do to it. All depends on your needs, wants, desires, and pocket book.
One thing to check is the frame around the steering box, they are known to crack. There is a repair kit out there for it.
I hate to recommend other sites, however have you looked into ColoradoK5 site yet? They are more specific to the K5 Blazers.

I did run in to that site, i tried to post, but you have to pay?? I own 2 Broncos as well (my winter/dogs truck), but have been wanting a K5 for a while now, i figured this was a good deal, couldn't pass it up. The entire body is galvanized steel, looks great, a little bit of bubbling starting to show around the fenders, but excellent nonetheless. I'll keep poking around. I figured there must be more i can do to the engine, but seeing as the engine is new, i'll break it in before moding it. Thanks for your reply, i appreciate it.

What kind of mods are you looking for?
There isn't a whole lot of difference between the 4.3L and 5.7L engines. Well 2 cylindars, but other then that they are duplicates of each other. Several members on this site know there engines and what are good upgrades. Post up them questions!!!!!

I have to pick up today, and quite honestly, haven't really disected the engine. All i know is that it has a 350 engine, so it must have some ballz (for a ginormous truck), and a 350 tranny, no idea what that means, a tranny is a tranny to me. And as for the 650 CFM Edelbrock Carb, no clue what that means, all i know is that it's all new, and the truck is mint, so it should last me for a while. As for associating mods with my engine and tranny, it's a little tough, seeing as nothing is stock on this vehicle, so any advice will be greatly appreciated. This is more like a toy for me, what ever i read and learn from this forum i'll try on my truck.

350 tranny means it is a 3 spd auto, no Over Drive.
650 cfm carb is good espetially sinces its a Edelbrock.
And its nice to see you smartened up and bought a Chevy. lol I am a huge chevy fan and I absolutly hate fords.

Ha ha, i personally love chevy trucks myself, but the price on the Bronco was too good to pass up. I just picked up my truck tonight, needs a little work, not very smooth accelarating, feels like the entire truck starts to jump when depress the accelarator, and the truck goes no-where. And the gas pedal is as hard as a rock!!! Thanks for the info though, i had no idea it was a 3 speed auto, knowing that will make more sense of other quirks i may think the truck has. Thanks for the replies guys, i appreciate that.
