I have a 00 blazer 4x4x4, the sound system sux...most of the lights burned off ..

1) How can I change the light bulbs..too new at doing this stuff ...dont want 2 screw it up !

2) The unit I have in my truk has a CD player with controls to a cassette deck that 's on the tranny...If I were to change it, I'd want something that I can attach an ipod instead of cassette (wazzat ???) and still be able to control it thru the player....any suggestions >

ooo, i dont think fixing the lights in the stereo is gonna be an easy task. i highly doubt that theyre just bulbs you can pull out and replace. you may just want to buy a new 1 or take it to like an electrician or something.

i got headlights on ebay. they cost like $250 or something. and theyre made for HID lights, but i dont have the money for a conversion kit now, so im just using halogens (silverstars). and theyre not too bright with halogens, lol

You wanna fix the bulbs, send it to me. If you could have the pinout so I know which wires are for illumination and power, I could try to fix it. I'm in electronics. Dealt with car audio for a few years. Going to school for electronics now. I like to work with electronics, so I wouldn't charge you more than $5 for actual labor. Shipping both ways and parts is the main thing.

Clarion has iPod controls, but I don't care for Clarion. I've liked JVC. Get the JVC KD-AVX1 that plays DVDs and has 3 sets of RCA outs (F/R/Subcontrol) and RCA input so you can send your audio signal to the stereo, and any other RCA input, like if you wanted to hook up an XBox, Nintendo, Atari...

Many other options to go with. I'd do new stereo. If you wanna fix your stock one and sell it, if it looks nice you can get some decent money for it. $60+. Send it to me, I'll look at it, see what I can do. If it doesn't just use some little bulbs, I can try and make some other stuff work.
