I want some bass in my music and now I have some money to blow.

I am starting with nothing, so I will need the sub, amp and whatever wlse I need.

I listen to rock, rap, hip hop   those genres
I want to spend around 5-600.

Any suggestions would be great about what is a good buy and what isnt. I was leaning more towards kicker...

Im not looking for headache music, just sound quality at reasonable levels.

factory or aftermarket radio????

You can get kicker stuff pretty cheap on ebay, the zx750.1 is a great amp.  Pair it with a VR or Alpine Type R in a custom made box and it will sound great!  and be under your budget.

Definitely Type-R if you want sound quality at reasonable levels while not spending a lot of money.  I'll never get any other sub again......................................

Ebay is the best source for purchasing car audio stuff in a lot of cases.

I was always under the impression that Kicker is the way to go to get headaches (my personal term for loud bass) for cheap.

I have a JVC aftermarket headunit in already

So all I would need is the amp sub and wires correct?

through the craftsmanship of your hands...

everyone on here says that prefab boxes are the WORST.  and it seems like most everyone knows more about sound than me

Custom boxes are the way to go for best sound/bass.  That way, things are tuned for the specific vehicle its going into.  Only reason I have a prefab is no one here in the mountains makes custom boxes and i'm too lazy.

You know of any reviews on these subs? I might want to get the 10" package for a little SQ system but I just wonder if they can actually get loud when I want them too...Seem like very decent SQ for the price point though. Im diggin the low Fs...

Jacob over at sundown really knows what he's doing.

theres a thread there about my amps bigger brother the 3000d. They ran it on 17.8 volts in a car setup and cleared over 7000 watts!!!! not bad out of a 3000 watt amp.

we'll see if i can squeeze 2000 outta mine when I get the proper equipment

oh, and dont forget, the sax, and saz lines are rated at 12.8 volts!!!
that 100.2 is a very nice amp, take a look at the internals, its a work of art!
