i may be new to the whole gm thing here but i know for a fact that i have had 35x1250s mounted on 7 inch nissan pathfinder wheels for the last 40000 miles without any problems... that is about the max i would go... a bigger problem would be your backspacing on the factory wheels... that is why i would suggest a wider rim with a different backspace
