I have a 94 s-10 blzr 4x4 and saw a post about 4x4 and vaccum hoses were mentioned. Are there any that could come loose around distributor area where I was working ? Replaced cap, rotor etc. 4x4 does not engage all the way but I can hear it trying to but not the regular sound I normally hear. Could I have unplugged something back there or anywhere else while I was lying across the eng. compartment? Need my 4x4, have STEEP ICEY DRIVEWAY IN CENTRAL IL.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it is the Vortec engine then the main vacuum feed is right off the upper right rear corner of the upper intake plenum. One short piece of approx. 1/4" line goes to a vacuum pot that splits 4 ways. My short 1/4" hose was shot as well as the 5/32" hoses running to the vacumm canistor and the Cruise control.

My leak wasn't enough to bother the differential, but the cruise didn't have enough suction to maintain speed up a grade and my converter would jerk in and out at highway speeds. My guess is your main point of connection is probably not even hooked up.
