hmmm i want more SPL when i get my subs but i dont want to make a custom box lol

Definately cant have one without the other. Building a custom box is the best and cheapest way to bring the full potential out of your system...

granted there are some differences based upon what there fireing against, the enclosure, and the **** in the car. but as the frequency gets lower the sound should become less directional.

all frequencies below 300hz are omnidirectional. That has nothing to do with the phase though.

Sub and Port being 90 degrees out of phase really isnt going to make an audible diffirence unless you get lots of cancellation.

all depends on the vehicle and the location of the enclosure. Ive been in vehicles with a situation similar to this where it absolutely sounded horrible because of the phase. AFter severley messing with the T/A we were able to get the back into phase. Im not sure how it will perfrom in a blazer though. Wouldnt hurt to try. I was just saying its something to keep in mind.

Shipping is anywhere from $50-100 depending on the size. Usually a basic two 12" ported box is around $75 depending on the shipping distance. But, since youre a forum member i can give you low enough price to where it will compensate for some of that shipping...lmk what you're looking for and I can give you a quote..

I've done a lot of Type-R 12"s before and the best conditions ive found are about 2.5 cubes at 35Hz with around 30sq.in. of port. Sub up port back is definately the way to go in an SUV. YGPM with my price...

I've missed out on what the deal is on this.

Hype R's What are you looking for? Loud on the meter? To the ear? Or you just want it to slam the lows? Also what kinda power we workin with?

If you want a really freakin good box hit up team toxic bass. They will get you a crazy design that WILL PERFORM.

He's got two Type-R's and wants a good box built for 'em.

I should get a good sounding box that's smaller, lol.

My problem is, I can't seem to work out in my head what kind of outside dimensions or rough size "2.5 cubes" is gonna be, lol

Normally I charge $150 for a single sub and $175 for dual sub boxes. But for forum members I try to work out a better price to make up for some of the shipping...
