Snow? I can't even remember the last time it actually snowed here. Case and point: we walked outside yesterday morning to a nice little frost on the ground & my little sister goes "Look sissy! It snowed last night!" Tennessee is still in the 50's -60's...40's at the lowest

It's suppose to snow here on sunday, but I think it's most likely going to turn into rain.

About 8"s so far. We'll see if it warms up tomorrow and turns to rain or not. The jimmy goes pretty good in the snow. Cooper Discovery ST's that have lots of thread. Still pretty slick out there though and it'll slide around if not carefull. What are everyones tips for driving in the snow? Other than the basic drive slower etc. You guys downshift to slow down, neutral, apply a little parking brake? The snow around here is wet, packs down and get's pretty slick.

punch it, and crank the wheel to the left but seriously, cornering is the killer, slow!

The snow around here is wet, packs down and get's pretty slick. I don't think I've ever used neutral to help in the snow, and no parking brake unless you're trying to get sideways around a corner...or parking lot . Brakes can actually hurt you more than help, especially in the snow you're speaking of. If you slam, or even sometimes just tap the brakes, the momentum and direction of the vehicle will continue. That's when you end up sliding into curbs and poles and the like. Best thing to do if you start losing control is to let off the gas and turn into it. If you break loose and your back end kicks out to the left, turn left and vice versa. Downshifting to help you slow down is a good idea as well, just don't overdo it and risk cooking it. You don't want to depend on it and you don't want to go from 45 to 25 using just your tranny. BTW.... NO FAIR!!! I want that much snow here, quit hoggin' it!

Buy all means, I have more than enough to share. Although shipping would be a biatch. More than welcome to drive up and use it all you want. It sure makes working on my trucks a challenge =( Well basically I was leaving a parking lot this afternoon, down about 15-20' 45-60degree slope to the main road. I was in 4low first gear crawling down it but it just started to slide out onto the road. Buddy in a truck was driving a little fast oncoming so my best bet was just to tap the gas and get sideways to get the truck headed where I wanted it to go quickly (to avoid getting hit). That was fine, but not much fun. I was just thinking if that was the best thing to do or not. Don't know if it helped that there was a bobcat "plowing" that entrance, probably polished it up. Otherwise driving is actually pretty decent.
