yea the knu is really nice wire! but I wish I would have gotten a 0guage kit but owell

Welding cable works fine for most applications. Though strand count is lower which yields much less flexibility. Which is also why I absolutely hate working with it...

oh and the ends where you crimp it etc can corrode overtime (exposed copper) but that can be dealt with and doesn't really affect anything

less flexibility?
all the cable I've worked with is more flexible, but has less insulation.
It almost seems like silicon, like plug wires......

most welding wire doesn't have as high of strand count resulting in less flexability

dunno what cable you guys use....but the stuff we have is really flexible. I could bend it right in half.
I mean the spools they put them on are only 4" or so.....
and wouldnt more strands make it less flexible, that dosent make sense to me.......

nope think of it like a strand of hair, its thin and can bend in a MUCH tighter diameter than say a garden hose. and when there are a bunch of strands of hair they are still flexible as opposed to trying to bend 4 garden hoses etc.

There's less strands, but those strands are a lot bigger...
Probably between 1/16th and 1/8th of an inch.
If you've got fine stranded welding cable... That's odd, lol. Not saying you're wrong or anything, I just haven't heard of it yet

being in the trade just as blazinloud is, i have to agree w/ him, our weling leads seem to be more flexible. now the cheaper weldind leads are probably not very flexible but the good stuff flexes pretty good.
