body lift - 12/4/2007 1:12:47 AM    felonyblazer96   Posts: 464 Joined: 11/4/2007 From: Utica ny Status: offline ive been dying to get a lift kit but i always see them for like 500-1000 but on ebay i found a body lift kit for 114 dollars...can any1 tell me why its so cheap? is it hard to do it yourself??? please help because im very interested in getting a lift so i can fit 31 inch tires or bigger if possible thank you and any feedback is appreciated..also if you have ideas or any other advice im open to it Post #: 1

Make sure the kit is complete with front bumper raising brackets also. $114 isn't really that much. Status: offline a body lift isnt that bad to do. just get a couple friends over and it wont take that long. you are doing just what it sounds like, lifting the body. and yes you will be able to run a slightly larger tire. a good kit will come with detailed instructions. good luck with the lift. _____________________________ 97 BLAZER 4.3 2WD. RE: body lift - 12/6/2007 10:24:33 AM    kankoon52   Posts: 127 Joined: 7/19/2007 Status: offline you can put almost any size tire on a 15" rim until you get to some real big sizes. i know they make up to atleast like a 37" that fits a 15" rim or atleast im pretty darn sure. i know for a fact they make up to 35" in 15" rim. they were probally talking more about the width of the rim. you want to stay within about 4" wider tire than the wheel. so for a 7" wheel the widest you should go is probally about 11" you could probally get away with 11.50 but i wouldnt go more then that. thats why i ordered 15"x8" wheels so i can fit some 33"x12.50" later on down the road _____________________________ 2001 GMC Jimmy 2dr 4x4 31" BFG M/T's Rock Crawler Series 97's (in reply to felonyblazer96) Post #: 14
