Calm down there killer...  No need to bump a post a mere hour after the first one.

Have you tried heating it?  Not a ton of heat, but a bit...

Also, are you using the appropriately sized wrench/socket?  I know that sometimes with drain plugs, a standard will fit better than a metric so try out a few different sizes to get the one that fits the best.

Ya heat it... if its stripped try some fluted bolt extractors, they work like magic!

I know of two different sized plugs that have been used on Blazers, a 12mm or a 15mm. I suggest a good box-end wrench for the job.

Ya know, if there's a foot of snow outside and you don't have a garage to do the oil change in, $20 at an oil change place would look pretty darn good to me.

I second that one. $20 is a good deal for getting an stuck plug unstuck and for staying warm and dry. Although I tend to watch any mechanics that work on my car so I know they are doing it right. Kinda tends to make some of them mad, but what do I care. It is my car and it is done right lol.

Ditto double wrench it. dont mess around witha  hair dryer, especially int eh snow. Heat tends to melt snow and it turns into water, water and electricity dont alwayys play nice togehter. Besides that a hair dryer dont put out enough heat,a nd besides that heat makes metal expand, making it even tighter.

This is double wrenching it. Works great.

This works justa s well and is a little easier to control.

Both will work. Unscrew it by turning the bolt counterclockwise.

As for a heat source, I use a propane torch. It wont cut through metal, but it will get it hot enough to make it useful to loosen rusty bolts, or start an oil fire. I try to keep flames away from grease and oil.
