RE: How would I pull another car out? - 12/11/2007 7:48:18 PM    Blazer00 Posts: 31 Joined: 12/8/2007 From: Raleigh, NC Status: offline I have a 2000 LT 4x4 with the 4.3L and have pulled multiple people out, with my front hooks, from being stuck in mud. Once a GMC 2500HD, which was definatly heavier than my blazer and a nissan pathfinder which probably has a smaller engine because most of those have a 3.5L.  And these were both in reverse because i was using my front tow hooks.  You get better traction going in reverse and as long as you tow slow you should be alright.
