Hey folks, I'm new to this forum but just went out and bought another '70 K5 w/auto. trans. It doesn't have the instructions/directions/position of 2H/2L/4H/4L on it. The Chevy dealers are useless around here. If someone could please let me know where they are located, i.e., forward left is 4H, bottom right is 2L, etc..., it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tarzan

I no longer have a '70 so I don't remember. You won't have a 2 low. You will have 4 Hi, 4 Lo, N and 2H. It's easy to tell the difference between Hi and Low, so what you could do to figure out the positions of 4 Hi and 4 Lo is to put the truck in one of the Hi positions and climb underneath, then try to turn the front driveshaft by hand. If the front driveshaft can be turned it's in 2WD.
