Sometimes people don't believe what they can't see or touch .  Why does it matter so much ?  I have seen differences of as much as 30 hp from dyno to dyno just because the base numbers and temps were inputed diffrently.  I can give you some great numbers by telling the comp that it is 90 deg out.  or -14 deg.  The dyno is a tool !  Not a fact !  do one test today and the numbers will change for tommorows session .  Time slips count not dyno's.  there are so many teams that have never dynoed their engines or cars.  Do you believe them when they tell you their HP numbers?  Weight x time x distance can give you a rough HP # .  Without a dyno. 

And by the way some shops and dyno guys thought that I had a v8 when I pulled into their shop and looked mighty surprised to see a v6 on the valve covers.  Sound can be made to be just how you like it. That is what the major car manufactur do, they have whole sections of people devoted to just making cars and trucks sound good.   Jba ceramic shorties, 2 1/2 inch stainles y pipe, High flow stainless cat, Jba 3 inch stainles exhaust system.  It does sound good,  the important thing is that it sounds good to me. 

And i am not questioning any ones ability to build engines what i am questioning is what they know about the 4.3 v6.  My engine is in my car and running.  Not on a wish list or sitting in a corner.  Go back to some of my past threads this has all been dealt with before.  You can see outright some of the things that have been done to my Blazer.  along with modifying parts to make them work on the v6, and tracking down this and that.  Me and my Dremel are on a first name basis.  the fun and headaches are worth it.  Just want to share what I have done so far and to not start arguments or make foes.  This is a fun project. 

And where the heck did I say that I ran 8's?  I wish, Not with a 4000lb Blazer .  Where is this 8's thing ? And street racing is not what I do,  I have raced on the street , But it is not a practice.  That post is not from me!!


Stop bumpin your gums and post dyno sheets. FFS People think i have a v8 with my exhaust OOOOOOOOOOO.

Also, I thought you would know this already since you have such an extensive background in the 4.3L v6, but the 4.3L is just a 5.7L v8 with 2 less cylinders.  So what I know about the 350 DIRECTLY translates to what I know of the 4.3L.  Engine building is engine building regardless of how many cylinders you have.  But you would already know that if you actually did the work on your truck.

You keep jawing about this and that, but you still have produced NOTHING to give any credit to the words you spew forth.  Since you share the same feeling I have on dyno's and since I have already asked for time slips, please provide them.  You throw a LOT of numbers around, but you seem like you are more and more like a politician and less and less like a genuine hotrodder.

I'll also add that you DIRECTLY questioned my knowledge on this subject.  I build things with my hands.  I design things with my mind.  I DO ALL OF THIS, MYSELF!  I have answered your questions on my knowledge, background, and experiences.  What about you?  Nothing but talk and misdirection. 

And exactly what part of the description of MY CHEVELLE ENGINE did you not understand???  Again, you are attacking what we (I) have done without actually comprehending a word of what has been said.  I'll reiterate for you.  My 355 v8 (350 0.030 over) ran 386HP / 425ftlb on a chassis dyno back in '94.  I built the engine myself when I was 15 with only having a machine shop prep the block with the 0.030 overbore.  But I guess that doesn't count.  It is painfully obvious that I know nothing of what I speak and am just bustin' your balls because I have nothing better to do cause I'm still living in my parents basement...  LMAO!!!  Yeah Right.

How about a video of that bad Blazer "SS" at the track.  Lets see what that pooch can dooo.  ..(nope no typo folks)..

He has pictures HERE.

He has thrown out a bunch of things in various posts on this forum, but never a clear and concise list.  I have no doubts that he has a CSC on his truck, but he has failed to answer what any person who actually did the work should be able to.  Compression ratio, cylinder head work, valve work, intake and exhaust work, bottom end work, etc.  I am leaving out a big chunk and lets see if he covers it with his mods list.  BlazerSS, don't leave anything out because I will know.  And as you well know, I will not hesitate to call BS on it.  There are some fundamental upgrades that have to happen when you are pushing the kind of power that you state you are pushing. 

I've helped you enough.

For one thing that was taken out of context !!  Show the rest of the post !!  That was about a 8 second S 10 drag truck. that was running 8's , there was also a link to it ,to show the truck.  GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT !!  Show the link and the post !! 

Should I have to divulge everything ?  People do like to keep some things to themselves.  I have posted a lot of useful information on 4 different sites.  The good thing is that I posted the stuff that actually works , not the snake oil stuff.  If you want a performance V6 read my posts and how too's .  If you want to plagerize and take things out of context, go right ahead. 

One secret that I will duvulge.  Are you ready  Here it is .  MY VALVETRAIN IS ALL TITANIUM !!  Except for the Beehive springs .  Here is another one .  My heads are ported to within a inch of there life !  Okay one more.  Not all of the money was spent on the engine.  The inside of my Blazer has more creature comforts and aftermarket accessories than some cadilacs .  I don't even have to turn on the windshield wipers , the rain does it for me. 

This is my Blazer I can do what I want.  I don't have to show what I don't want to , And I don't have to prove a single thing !  There is so much that you cant see from the pictures, besides those pictures are OLD!! That Dyno video is old !! I will post new pictures when I have the time to wait for them to upload.  Till then ,  Read the full post about that whole 8 second thing.

Every Bolt every screw was done by me.  If you read past posts you would know this was true.  By the way isnt it past your bedtime?   I have encounterd all kind of people in this world .  and it all boils down to two categories.  Those that do .  and those that can't.  And you are entitled to your opinion, if you think that it looks like a pimped up ghetto mobile ,so be it.  I like it, and in the long run , I guess My opinion is all that counts.  Thanks for your input .  It just tells me the kind of mentality that I have been corresponding with.

Still nothing from you but more talk.  What does that say for you?  My mentality???  What seems to be your major difficulty here?  How many times must one ask what YOUR truck runs in the 1/4 or 1/8 mile???  Can you answer questions or must you drivel on and on and on?  Whoops, another question.  Sorry about that.

And yes, I have read back through your posts on this site (every one as a matter of fact) and no, you never have said how all of that stuff got onto your truck.  But now you believe that I am one of those people that can't do anything...  Right.  Whatever gets you to sleep at night man.  Me, I could give a crap what you believe.  I have answered EVERY question you have asked but you have answered nothing that gives you any credit.  In fact, you keep on avoiding those very questions.  Kudos! 

I also do not know where you come up with the feeling that I dislike your truck.  In fact, I have said on numerous occasions that it is a very nice looking truck.  The matter at hand is your bragging about what it can do with absolutely nothing to back it up.  You state that you do not race on public streets, but brag about beating other vehicles all the time.  And all of this racing with no times???  Smells to me...

So in case you missed the questions at the beginning of this post I'll put them down here once again in big bold print:

How about a video of that truck at the track showing what your final elapsed 1/4mi time is?

If you really want to put this discussion to bed, follow through.  If not, I'll continue to 'state my opinion' of you and your claims.

I was not replying to you SWARTLKK.  I was replying to the remark That the ooh. let me catch my breath  "pause for effect" the "BRETTSTER" made.  I understand that you have to safeguard the information that is posted on this site and I applaud you for it.  But Ghetto pimp mobile.  Little much. 

When that video was made my dyno sheet showed 271.0 HP @ 4200 rpm, 294.2 ft lbs @ 4000 rpm. Very bad afr  And of corse that is rear wheel hp.  That video was a long, long,  time ago.  I have found the 383 hp dyno sheet  along with the Nitroused run.  they are in bad shape becase they were just cast aside. Why is this so important?  They mean nothing !!  I also found sheets that show 212 hp at the rear.   From when i just installed the supercharger.  Do you kind of see why the dyno is just a tool?  It is just to guage improvements. 

Since the video my engine and heads have been replaced ,rebuilt and re dynoed.  Fuel system replumbed. and wallet emptied.  Right now I have a set of iron heads at the machine shop being worked over. A 2114 being plumbed for nitrous bosses and fuel rails and that damn egr setup.   By this time next week , that 383hp number will have changed.  Hopefully for the better . 

Lip service , No busted and bleeding knuckles, yes.  I listed those dyno numbers because they mean absolutly nothing to me !!  But it seems that they mean a lot to you.

Just a little information.  The hp numbers listed for our engines are done on a handbuilt factory engine that is not in the vehicle. on a engine dyno with perfect operating conditions, perfect air, perfect coolant, and the runs are averaged and upgraded.  the engine in your trucks are put together with a plus or minus 10 to 20 % weight.  Other wise by the handful.  You have a whole lot less HP than you think.  If you have more than 140 hp at the rear , you are lucky.

136.6HP at my rear wheels with the stock tires with an estimated 30% drivetrain loss, lol.

Due to manufacturing tolerances... Some stock 4.3's could also be putting out MORE power as well as less...
