My sister drives a plymouth neon, and we took it to the local mechanic to have the timing belt replaced because she jumped the timing on it, turns out that the valves are friend and piston #3  has 0 compression. which means that cylinder two dosnt work either which makes it a two cylinder neon.

One of my friends had a Dodge Neon that threw a couple of lifters. That was cute when he pulled off the head.

That means the thing is pressed together instead of fastened by bolts and stuff for those who don't understand the jargon.

SRT 4 neon FTW or the mazda speed3. Dont mess with the SVT if she wants a focus just get a baseline focus and spend the rest on steeda performance parts.

Nope, that is not the case.  Interference fit engines are engines that will have parts compete for the same space if the rotating assembly (crank & pistons) ever goes out of time with the valve train.  This results in at the very least bent valves and nicked pistons, but could cause more serious issues depending on the conditions when everything let loose.

Swart is exactly correct on this one.  The old Lumina Z34 had a 3.4 DOHC V6 that was the same.  If you didn't keep a fresh timing belt on it, it didn't go 60K as the manual suggests, you would end up with bent valves if it jumped time.  Had two cars with that motor.

Ok. I got you. I'm used to hearing interference fit meaning things are held together with friction. Like pressed-in bearings.
