I have looked thru I think all of the forums and did a search for this particular problem.  I push on the button for 4wd and get no lights or functions. If I disconnect the battery and connect it the 4wd lights up and I can hear the cable and tccm activate and I can push it off an on for 5 minutes and its working. This is with the car not running, just the key turn to the on position.  I can drive all day and 4x4 works fine. Shut it off and the next day no lights or functions, even if its running. I have to do my Magiver to get the 4x4 to work........

Since this is a 1992 I am assuming there are no codes to pull out of the unit. I am wondering if anyone has the wiring diagrams for this model?  I am thinking I have some sort of electrical problem from the tccm to the transfer case motor.  I want to check the power and grounds. These parts aren't cheap from the dealer so I want to be sure!  :)

Any other suggestions are welcome !!

Whats this posi lock that I have seen posted ?? Is it a manual shift conversion for the 4 x4 ?
