What is included in the $600...Subs, Box, Amp, and Wiring? Also, what size subs are you wanting?

you cant get a system for only $600 (atleast not one worth buying). Pick out a few items you wish to start with and can build off of later.

ditts, i believe he is talking about subs, amp and a box.  Thats what the world calls a system.  Not everyone is going for sq, most just want to add subs and an amp to the factory system.

haha yes yes I know. I didnt even mention anything about SQ. The professional world does not call subs, amp and a box a "system". all that is called is adding bass. If you correct the new people on the correct terms, confusion will be less likely in the future

With that said.... the best thing to do when deciding on what equipment to buy, you have to think about a few things:

1. what is my absolute budget? (this should include install and install necesities like amp kits and wiring harnesses)

2. what is my overall goal? (SPL - sound pressure level (lots of bass) or SQ - sound quality (the ability to accurately reproduce the music as the it was intended with natural blending of all frequencies))

Once you answer these questions you can begin to narrow down your choices.

im pretty sure ridinclean is not a pro. and we know what he means when he says he wants a system, and i think it totally possible for him to get what he whats, a "system", for $600, you can shop around and find killer deals

2 12''
with a Hifonics amp running 1200 watts
but i feel like theres something that could top that.
or is that the best option?

there is always a better option, depends on what you want and who you ask. depending which amp you are talking, im guessing its the brutis. i dont have the specs in front of me but its a strong amp and should push them pretty good, its all about what you want really.  everybody like a different kind of bass

getttin two 12's? go with the kicker zx1000 (depending if you will have a 2 ohm final load) or even bigger. the zx1500.1  Either will be great.

1606 is probably cheaper new, and it can be ran at 1ohm

but in most cases, the 1000.1 will put out more power than the 1606.

benched them both personally. I dont have the sheet within arms reach but iirc they were both very close to 1200w at 13.0v. The hifonics did win but not my any more than 100w, which isnt a noticable diffirence. And the Kicker amp will definately sound better...

L series kickers suck imo. sure they get loud but they sound like crap doing it. and those kicker prefabs arent worth a damn either. I would go with the R's and build your own box...you'll be much happier
