ive got one of each, my ipod is a piece, o like my zune a lot better.

I don't have either, I have an mp3 phone (sony ericsson w580i with 8gb card) works good enough for me. barely use it.

Bought two Nano's last year for Christmas. One for the Wife and one for Dad. It's just a name, you'd be much better off getting a Zune, nothing special about the ipods IMO.

I prefer my first gen iPod Nano, but also like the newest iPod Videos with the 80GB hard drive. I have not looked at the Zunes much but I have seen some weird things about them that I am not sure about, I would have to do more research.

i prefure ipod, i have a 160gb ipod classic video. just got it, paid 400 bucks for it. i love ipod, i cant go anywhere without it. Zune's are just cometition from microsoft.

yea zunes kinda are copy cats but what they do with there interface and the fact that the headphone jack pushes out 32 ohms (on the new one) makes it way better, in my opinion

i dont care how many ohms it pushes, i just bought skull candy headphones, 100 dollar headphones, they sound amazing.

well 32 ohms means that it doesnt need an equalizer cuz it is baddarse and with a set of really nice head phones it is like listnen to god

zune is ok.
ipod is a little better.

Thanks. I have no knowledge of any of this stuff. I do have an MP3 player. Is that basically what an Ipod is?
An ipod is made by Apple, it is one of the highest mp3 players on the market, unlike other mp3 players, it plays movies, music, games, and even has internet (ipod touch). so i would go with an ipod over a zune any day, may be because ive nevered owned a zune, ive had many ipods, and i love them.

Also, the Zune isn't an "iPod rip-off" it's just another portable media player...
The iPod was far from the first MP3 player on the market
I prefer the Windows Mobile to the iPod interface, as well... I loved my Gigabeat, which ran the media player version of Windows Mobile. (and no, it wasn't that, that killed my player, lol, it was a head-crash)
At least iTunes doesn't force you to convert ALL your MP3's to the iTunes format anymore...
