Clunking in rear of vehicle. Also feels as if rear wheel is loose when making a turn. Put up on jacks nd turn wheels by hand with little or no noise. Put in gear and the clunking returns. Thanks

Well, if it's anything like what happened to my blazer then I can tell you. I have been hearing a clunking noise from the front of my car for about a week, and it sounded like the front like wheel was loose. I checked the wheel a couple of days ago, but it was fine. Today I looked under the front end, and I discovered that one of two clamps holding an anti-sway bar or something was broken, and this sway bar was hitting the frame every time I went over a bump. It's an easy fix, I just didn't know what was wrong at first. I don't know exactly what could be making your sound, but it might be something similar so you should take a closer look.
