On my 02 Jimmy, I want to get the ZQ8 rims with some bigger BFG All Terrains. I got a set of Xenon fenderflairs. I saw a ZR2 today with the steelie 2wd rims, and it made me think of getting the ZQ8 rims. I do plan on doing offroading with it as well. I looked, but cant really find much info. Might be because im tired and usless online, but any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

What have you done to your truck?  Generally, swapping over to 2wd rims will cause problems with clearance when making tight turns...

Truck is stock. The Blazer I saw was stock ride hight too. Planning on a 5" lift in spring or summer.

Comparing a stock ZR2 to a stock Jimmy is apples and oranges.  ZR2's are lifted from the factory.  You could always try, but without some kind of a lift, you will mostlikely have problems.

Is there a way to take the ZR2 suspension and put it on a reg. 2dr? Priced out a 5" lift, $2300 + tax. I really like the look or the zq8 wheels, so id like to make them fit.

The ZR2 option includes a completely different frame.  You should be able to use 2wd rims with a body lift and a simple t-bar crank.  Search around a bit because I know this has been discussed before.

Ive been looking, but I really suck at searching. I can never find What im looking for. Now I have to find a company that makes lift kits for the non ZR2.

Superlift (6'')  and Trailmaster (5'').  Type ''lift'' in the search bar.

Lookin at superlift. I can get the 6"for 2600, and the 2" for 800. I might just do 2". I still have 2 kids to take in and out daily.

well, you can save the money by cranking the torsion bars...   you'll get approx 2" front end lift with that and you can get add-a-leafs or leaf shackles to lift the rear.

the superlift 2" kit comes with new torsion keys to lift the front and add-a-leafs for the rear. it also comes with tubular upper control arms but those arent really necessary

The upper arms are suppposed to help with balljoin wear. Which would be handy with the amount of driving I do.
