??? jsut because your 3" might not be tuned correctly and you get the occasional "pop" doesnt mean it cant handle the job. I bet if your setup was tweaked a little better your speakers would sound just fine.

Where did you get the black plastic for around the mounting baffle?

Looks like ABS plastic. Its good stuff. Doesnt take much heat to make it plyable either. Do an ebay search for the stuff or jus tin google. They sell it all over the place. Im sure you could even find a local place that sells it if you look hard enough.

2 drivers and a tweet in each door plus the 4x6s in the dash? thats a lot of sound waves colliding and cancelling each other out. it might get loud but I dont know about sounding "good". how are you going to proccess all of those audio signals?

Ok Jimmy... I'm gonna call this one.

Your gonna get these speakers in. And instantly your gonna be like. "These speakers are to loud I need more bass" And the cycle of car audio hell will continue to own your life

UPDATE , new pics. Pics show aluminum frame being flushed into crossover window,to hold acrylic, also the beginning of the enclosure for the 2 6.5" CMX Woofers. Other pic shows top half of door panel wrapped in tweed, w/rainbow logo in it.

and the finished top half of the panel

I would assume he used some form of spray adhesive...

The tweed doesnt really tickle my fancy. That particular shade has a cubicle office chair look to it...For the most part i stick to vinyl, suece, and carpet interior...But thats just my tatses...

Im liking the tweed. That enclosure for the 6.5" is TINY!!! You are going to have very poor midbass response guaranteed. Might want to ask the guy to make it as large as possible if you want it to sound better.

that would help a little. IB into the door would probably be best. Most 6.5" woofers are not designed to be installed in an enclosure.

yep yep. Its the exact same if you built an enclosure for a sub too small. It sounds like doody. IT would be a shame to hinder such nice speakers with such a small enclosure.
