I just put a FM 40 on my truck yesterday and it sounds good. Not as loud as I'd like, but it is "deep and throaty".
I went to autozone and bought a small cheap tip, and it kinda changed the sound. When I put it on and off you could hear a tone difference, and it's acutally quite noticable in general. When I put the tip on it was deeper and the sound seemed to open up more.

Would a high flow cat increase noise at all?  Im considering the Flowmaster Super 44, but I don't wanna pay the extra $$ for the Super 44 if I'm gunna get the same noise out of a Delta 40.

Woot, I'm talking to my mom about getting some money out of the bank for a muffler.

I was lookin through a J.C. Whitney catalog my dad had and noticed they had FM 40 series for $82.99 (have to order based on pipe configuration). If I can get the money I'm gonna get one.

Oh, for my last post, my pipe size is two and a quarter.

private ops, on your profile I see that you are in wheelersburg ohio... about 15-25 minutes from my house in ashland... I would suggest going to gold street exhaust in ironton or crossing the river and going to quality exhaust in downtown ashland, or omni muffler... all three of these places regularly stock Flowmaster mufflers to fit your blazer and will put one on for about $90-$100 and that includes the cost of the muffler..... dont waste the time to order a muffler and take it to them as they only charge $45-$60 for the muffler at the shop and then another $30 to install.. hope this helps.......... im pumped to see someone from my area on BF.com finally..lol btw, do you ever cruise the strip in Ironton???? if you do, look carefully and one day you might see this pass by..lol

Nope, rarely even heard towards Ashland anymore, my grandpal (on my moms side) lives in Ironton but, Its VERY rare that I even go up there.

My dad knows how to weld so other than that I can get a muffler on in a couple hours. Other wise I could check at Mustains (place in Lucasville).

Question, I see your brush guard is very similar to mine (might be the same iunno). Does it move any? The mounts on mine flex. My uncle says its because the guard is to heavy. I still gotta look into how to secure it though.

I need to figure out a way to fix it when it warms up a bit more. Its hitting my bumper and putting a deep scratch (cant think of anything better) into it.

Hmm, I've never jumped on mine (even though I weight less, 185lbs) but, I do need to figure out a way to secure it
