Our area was 45*F last night, and it poured rain all night, and dropped 25* in 3 hours...

So now the temp is 20* and everything is frozen...All schools are closed, we have winds up to 70 mph

1/4 of the city doesnt have power/cable

and the worst part!! All the mud was washed off my truck from the rain! Grrr

its not even that cold here

just all the rain froze, and it snowed a good 6 inchs...of the light fluffy snow

add in the 70+mph wind, its bad outside...whiteout everywhere and mostly all streetlights are out at the intersections.

My school closed at 11am

Why do they wait untill everyone drives there to close it...will never know!

Yeah we have now had our second snow day in 20 years today at my school. We have had 40-70 mph winds and lots of snow here. I can't make out the building that is 100-200 feet across the street at times its so bad. I was happy cause I would have only had 4.5 hours of sleep so instead I got 8 and have been goofing off and doing some homework for classes. (yeah a snow day isnt quite the same as highschool when you are in college (your still expected to do some work)).

Here are some pics:

This one is from today, there is a big house/building thing normally about 150-200 feet across the road that you can barely see. Its been worse than this pic shows today too.

Here is a pic from 2 weekends ago of the blazer after siting in my parking lots for 30 minutes, that weekend we accumulated about 18" of snow.

You had a SNOW DAY at tech??? Seriously??? The funny thing is I don't think there's that many other people on here that realise you live in big snow country...yes folks 300 inches of snow is the record there up in Houghton...yes folks...25 feet of snow...That's amazing...

I live in texas so very rarely do we even see ice much less snow. I think we might have had one or two snow days he entire time I went to school. Cold, wet weather just sucks. When it drops into the 50s I can't stand it so i don't see how ya'll can live with it being that damn cold.
