Need Shock Advice ASAP! - 2/4/2008 5:28:39 PM    Xtreme Blizz Posts: 71 Joined: 7/13/2007 Status: offline I have been putting off getting some shocks till tax time. I called my local Chev dealer and they want quite a bit over what I have found online. My brother in law says that he regrets putting the edelbrocks on his tahoe and hated that he put toxic shocks in the trans am. Both vehicles came with bilsteins. I have been in both the tahoe and Trans Am and dont like the ride either. He rants and raves on about the Bilstein's he had. I wanted to get your point of view. I liked the ride of the Bilstein when I first got the 2dr but with now over 63K on them I am not liking it. I was wondering if I should purchase new bilsteins or try a brand other than the 2 previously mentioned. _____________________________ 2004 Xtreme Blazer 2 dr, 5speed,4.3Liter,RWD. 50,000 miles, Clear corners. Construction is long over due on this 55mph/15 mile strip. Plus my daily drive to and from work over a rotten concrete bridge with holes and dips. I have owned the truck for exactly one year and 3 weeks. the ride at first was amazing but has dwindled since Sept. (in reply to WolfPack) Post #: 3

If you want something cushy/more road worthy I would stick with the bilsteins or try out either KYB Monomax's or Monroe Reflex/sensa-trac shocks.
