bmxrr1990 -> wiring harness interchange (2/14/2008 8:08:50 AM)

I currently have a 1991 4.3L s-10 with Tbi, and im am going to be doing a 350 swap to a 1994 350 Tbi. I wanted to know if the wiring harness is interchangerable or if I would have to completely change out the harness for to the 1994 harness. Any suggestions would be apperciated
Thank you
Bobby

Wow couldn't even wait 12 hours!  Way to go man..[&o]  There is absolutely no need to bump a post for a solid 24 hours and even then, if it hasn't fallen off the first page, it isn't necessary regardless of how impatient you are.

Might get more of a response in the proper section...

*Moving to Performance & Brainstorming - Engine & Internal*

As far as I know, there shouldn't be too much of a difference besides the possibility of a connector or two and the lengths of harness concerning the routing in the engine bay (not necessarily on the engine).  Even at that, if a connector is different somewhere, you should be able to use the old sensor  Some wires may need extending and some connectors may need to be changed, but that shouldn't be a reason to up and swap a whole harness for a different model.  That could open up a whole other rats nest of problems.  I would start with what you know works and build off of it.

Would be simple to just go to a junkyard and compare if you really needed to find out for yourself...
