Ok, no flamin'!  I know questions like this are numerous on here, but mines a little different... and somewhat urgent.  My bro-in-law just called me and they're doing a T/S lift on his bro-in-laws Blazer.  I did the same on my Durango, so I know a bit about it.  On mine, what I did was buy lowering shackles for a full-size chevy and they worked perfectly.  Now they're needing some shackles quick and I was wondering what options they may have to buy locally.  All they'd need is a shackle that's 3" wide by 6" long to acquire a 2" lift, correct?  Does anyone know of a stock shackle by those dimensions?  He's gonna hit up some junkyards 'cause we don't have much in the way of 4x4 shops around... I know we can get 'em online, but he'd like to have them by tonight...

so, does anyone have any ideas?

They need to be 8" long for 2" of lift.

Oh... that's right.  Extra 2" for every 1" of lift, am I right?

Talked to my bro... he picked some up at Autozone for $15 - 3" x 8.5" (should net him 2.25 in the rear, right?).  What a deal!  If anyone's interested, I'll let you know how it goes...  heading over there now.

Don't use those autozone shackles.  They're made out of crap metal, and don't have any sort of lateral support to them.

Made mine, 1/2 inch plate steel. I had lateral support in them at first but screwed up and it was hitting the spring so I cut it out. I figured with the overkill of thickness I'll be fine.

There's other bolt holes close to the bottom (for varied lift choice)... would a bolt through those offer lateral support?  And here's pics - but it looks like you guys already know what we're talking about:

It wouldn't be a fixed lateral support though if you were to put a bolt through that last hole.  Each side of the shackle can still move independantly of the other.  Here's the shackle that I use, and recommend to everyone (not just because i sell them... but because they are, by far, the most heavy duty shackle available for the S-Series):
