Wouldnt a lower offset wheel do the same thing as spacers except without that extra piece that can come loose or be over tightened?

I would just run a hub centric wheel with the backspacing your looking for!! Spacers imo are a no no, some have had luck and some like me have had bad luck!!

Yes, rims with a lower back spacing would do the same thing.  With spacers, you have an extra set of lugs in the mix.

Spacers are common for people that are trying to change the bolt pattern to open up to a wider variety of rims.

Can you change our lug pattern to a 5x4.5 with just a wheel spacer.

Well if they do it would make my life so much better, because I have 2 sets of rims from my Jeep that I would love to use.

You sure can

Thing is... you're already adding a 1" spacer, and then you'll need to find a jeep rim with a LOT of backspacing to make up for that.  Like, close to 6" of backspacing.

Well now I am going to have to think on that. My Jeep rims are only like 4inches of back spacing. I think that they are going to stick out way too much.

Agree'd... they'll stick out 4" more on each side.  1" for the adapter, and 3" more for the rims.  Waaaaaay too much, in my opinion.

If I remember right, going to 5x4.5" will let you run GM FWD rims... Maybe.

Which usually have a good chunk of backspacing...

Well, you'd need 5x115mm
115mm = 4.53"

So 4.5 probably won't work for that... hmmm...

In that case its time for a solid axle swap.
