thanks everyone. this things going together really fast! all i have left is a seat, tank, exhaust, brake pedal, and paint. my original plan was to paint it to match my sonoma and have it in the bed, but it turned out a little bigger than i planned its about 7 1/2 feet long. oh well. if i cut my tailgate free and re-hinge it, then it will fit with the gate down...just not look as good. im already planning out my next one...street legal, air front and rear, single side swingarm, and fast! oh yeah, this one will only hit about 40 MPH. it will seem alot faster riding it seeing how my frame is only 3 1/2" off the ground.

this one only going to end up costing me about $300 because i got some freebies for it. the motor is off an old snowblower that was given to me and i got to raid my bosses scrap metal bin for alot of my materials. my next one will be a little more pricey at about $700 for what i plan to do. this ones kind of an experiment.

A very cool project zero! Can't wait to see it when it is completed! I really need to get some chromoly tubing and start welding up the chassis for the dune-buggy that I have designed! Nice small little one seater. I've got an '78 Yamaha 750 bike that has a cracked and bent frame to use for a motor, but it's shaft drive and I'll probably end up trading it for a chain driven motor/tranny.

Yeah, I'll try to get the renderings of the chassis I have in CAD here. I've done it before, but I'm using a different CAD system now so I don't know how easy that will be. I'm making this thing with a nice roll cage and plan on using it atleast once. It'll be rugged enough to be rolled, flipped back on it's wheels and keep going. One of my co-workers supes up motor cycles and is going to help me get the most out of whatever engine I put in. He's already talking about a small turbo - YIKES!!!

I'm rediculously proficient in autocad, and mechanical desktop. I took and am currently taking a couple classes in it. I hope my career involves some cad, because i love it. That is a sweet little chopper. We used to have one, my dad got it from some store around where he works. It was such a blast. you get the funniest looks when you're riding one of those down the street.
