I had nothing much to do, with school ending early, and plenty of time and a Blazer, my friends and I, decided to take our trucks up to Assunpink Lake in Central Jersey. My friend was driving a 95' Ford F-150 (1 Wheel Drive, Literally, Lol), and I had my 97' Chevrolet S-10/2 Dr. Blazer 4x4. I could handle pretty much anything with ease, he had a little more trouble, I flew through giant puddles of water no problem, (I'll be honest, I slipped a little on some really deep and sandy ones), he tried flying through them just as I did. It didn't work out so well, he pulled way too much water into his Air Intake, causing his truck to stall out and die, right as he managed to make the problems. The Ford Jokes never stoped, especially since he talked nothing about my Blazer. I figured, "Alright, lets call our teacher, (has a Toyota Tacoma), and is really handy in automotives, he drove up there, was able to get most of the water out of the intake, and get his truck going with no engine damage, we think.
So the score for breakdowns is
Chevy - 0
Ford - 1
Toyota -0
We kept going down trails, hitting some nice bumps, and I managed to get my Blazer at a 45 degree angle, where my friend managed to get his F-150 airborn. My teacher could take almost anything in his 4 wheel drive Tacoma, so could I. I felt invincable in that Blazer, we stopped again, apparently the Ford was losing lots of power in 1st gear, but nothing serious, but still, add 1 to Ford.

We continued, I cannot count how many times I hit my front end (No Damage Done, Thank You Chevy), then I started to lose power, and right after I cleared a puddle the truck died. I cursed, and called up ahead for everyone to come back. I hoped and prayed nothing got into the engine, I opened up the air intake, and the thing was bone dry, not a drop of water. As it turns out, as I cleared the course, I knocked some sort of little vacume tube looking thing loose, which fell onto a few wires, preventing the Blazer from going anywhere. We corrected it, amazingly my teacher had zipties, and mounted it to prevent it from moving.
The score was:
Chevy - 1
Ford - 2
Toyota - 0
Simple fix, we went to leave, and my friend with the F-150 had trouble starting again.

We fixed the issue, something wasn't screwed down tight, and had to get a little water out of the intake. We got rolling again, and decided to head home before it got dark. After a long ride home, I got home, and seeing my Blazer was completely covered in mud, I was satisfied. (Everywhere, the roof, windows, tires, windows, spare tire.) Everytime I'd pull up to a light, people would turn and stare looking like "What the hell did you do to your truck?", I'd just laugh and keep going.
As for the Breakdowns, the Toyota had no breakdowns, mine had the least, and Ford failed with the most. (Completely expected.) Well I can't say "FORIEGN VEHICLES FTW" since I know that some of the parts in the toyota trucks are made by GM, so in a sense GM dominates, and Blazers FTW, I'm glad I got this Blazer, its been fairly good to me.
