Does anyone here have a problem with the left taillight on their Blazer fading and getting cracks in them but the right side is fine with no blemishes????  Ever since i started doing these custom painted taillights, every one of the lights ive been getting to use have been defective on the left side only!!!  I`m just having a crazy thought about this, could the lightbulbs for sum stupid reason be hotter on the left side than the right and its drying out the plastic lens...
Thanks guys for any replies to this matter.

Hrm...what direction do you park in relation to the sun?  Sounds like your drivers side get a full does of UV light, where-as the passenger side stays shielded.

Both of my lights are pretty faded, but I keep 'em coated with  F21 UV nano-protectant stuff.  Comes in a lime-green bottle, works like armor-all, but lasts longer on the outside of the vehicle   The nano stuff makes the plastic shine like new for a good few weeks, then I just re-apply.

I would just suppose that fuel fumes may play a role in it but then again maybe not!! It actually may be a coicidence that the left side is more in the sun then the other on alot of blazer's!!

the oddest i also noticed today was a girl at my job who has a 96 LS also has the same prob with the left side, right side is perfect- nice and clear.. She wants me to paint her lights like mine but if its gonna keep causing the problems it has been with the cracking finding good lenses is gonna be fun to find...

I thought you didn't like altezzas Matt...

Anyway, both of my taillights were in perfect condition when I got mine, but it was garaged for most of its life.

It probably just comes down to something with that side of our blazer's I am leaning towards fuel being the predator of the left rear taillight!!
