hello, i am looking to put a cherokee front axel in a 93 blazer. i figure i will make all the brakets from control arm brackets to coil spring mounts. the only real thing that is bothering me is that the rear end ratio's are different and that it will blow up upon using it. anyone have any idea on possibly looking for pre-made brackets or if the rear end ratio's will match. i looked at the lift list and found the kit that a company offers but they give you no info. any info back is appreciated.

the thing is i think the bolt patterns are different from our trucks to the jeeps so then you would end up with two differnt bolt patterns front to back

not trying to steer you away from here because this is a great site, but if you sign up on S10forum.com, then go to the Liftin It section, there is several threads going on right now on solid axle swaps which will give you alot of information.

if youre, really considering the time to oust the IFS, then you should replace the rear as well. The bolt patterns will be different, as i think the S-series are what 6x4.5 and the jeep is 5x4.5. The D30 isnt even really worth the time to chop all the IFS out and mock up a new solid front suspension. If anything i would at least move up to a D44. If you do continue to keep the 30, you could always grab a rear 8.8 out of a ford explorer. a lot of the them came with limited slips in the rear and also disc brakes so you wont be losing your 4 wheel discs. Also if you wanted to keep your rear 10 bolt you could always just buy wheel adapters for the D30 or the rear, although they arent very reliable in off camber situations. Also new front driveshaft, whole new world of steering components, i could go on and on and on. If its your DD, not worth it. unless you got cash to blow.

6x4.5? They're 5x4.75 but your point remains. It's hard to rotate tires when you have different bolt patterns from front to back.
