Just got a '98 Blazer LT 4x4.  Bought it used, but whomever owned it before me went all out on factory options.  It has everything; leather, power moon roof, power everything, Starboard running boards etc....  I have yet to do any work to it myself, but I do have some ideas rattling around in my head.  Right now just doing the standard upkeep.  Who knows how well the previous owner took care of it.  I changed the Air filter today and found dried corn in the box!!!!  Tomorrow, I plan on working on the running boards.  They are in great shape, but the grip tape is missing.  I figure a little work and some Herculiner can fix that I will try to rmemeber to take pictures of the project to post.  I know it is a small project, but everythjing starts small.  Looks like this forum is an awesome and I am looking forward to the wealth of knowledge that I will get from it.

Still Working on the pics.  I went out yesterday, and turns out my camera batteries were dea, so I had to plug them into the charger.  Will try to get some up today.  Still can't work on the running boards.  We just got some cold weather, and I don't have a garage here.

OK, so here are some pics of my ride.  I hope that everybody enjoys them.  I still haven't gotten to Rhino-Lining my running boards.  I plan on just doing the "step" section not the whole thing.  It was just a little too cold today to do it.  Again, I hope you enjoy the pics.

Either way, what does it mean?  Obviously Upper Peninsula, but...?

Say ya to da UP eh?  It is just a saying that floats around up in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan.  We have our own dialect up here.  Glad you noticed it.

eh..is usually followed by a question mark...more asking if you understood or heard the statement or question...if you ever want the proper usage of the word eh...watch Strange Brew..

to actually get into the significance of the complete phrase...wow...that's a history lesson....pretty much the UP of Michigan...even though it's part of Michigan..is really it's own state...or more accurately it's own country...They dislike Wisconsin..and Hate any one under the bridge...referred to as Trolls...it's complicated....

Paddle_grl hit it right on the head.  She is exactly right about everything.  By the way Paddle_grl, are you a born and raised troll or are you a transplant from the UP?

Welcome to the forum. I am from Wisconsin but have lived in the UP for the last 3 years going to school in Houghton at Michigan Tech. Glad to have another Yooper. And yeah paddle_grl hit the nail on the head, although all the true Yoopers I have come across are generally nice people and haven't said anything about hating WI.

Oh and yeah "Strange Brew" is a good movie. Both the UP, MN, and Canadians use eh, but I am not sure why these places or only these places use it.
