I've bought this 2002 4wd LS Blazer about 2 yrs ago, with 57k on it. I put on BFG A/T's, 31x10.50-15 . I noticed a decrease in power right away, which would be expected. I now have 115k, and am due for a new set of tires, and was thinking about going down to 30x9.50-15. Would I really notice an increase in power with that slight of a decrease in tire size? My other question, is if I stayed with the 31's, what could I do to modify my truck to get the power back? I would appreciate whatever advice anyone is willing to offer. Thanks!
Rick

Try k&n air filter kits, im thinkin the same with more power. about $200 or so.

Maybe you could help me, im lookin at 30-950R-15 dominater tires, i have stock suspension but plan on gettin 2" shackles soon, would they fit? I dont wanna do any trimming. an same rim size. Or do i have to get new rims?

Negative on the filter kits.  They don't make that much of a difference power wise on our engines..the general feedback from users tend to be that they mostly modify the sound of the engine/exhaust.

The only way to get back the power lost from tires is to re-gear your axles, or reprogram your computer to adjust low end torque/power and what not.  More so the gears though.

For example, if you put on 33s, you would want to put on 4.11 gears most likely to get back to stock-size low end grunt.  To match 31s, you probably don't need to go that high, probably just up to 3.73s if you've got 3.42s.  The only problem is that's a pretty small jump IMO, and for the cost of it, you might as well get 4.11s.

FYI you're looking at about $250/axle to regear for parts alone..if you've got 4wd and want to ever use it, you have to do both axles.
