Is your belt off? My '98 only has two bolts holding the alternator to the bracket, but the alternator does not put tension on the belt, there is an automatic belt tentioner on these blazers. Once the two bolts are out it's kind of a struggle to get the alternator out, but a little bit of prying will pop it out, I had a little trouble getting mine to come out, it is kinda tough. But then it's just a matter of pulling the wire harness out and unbolting the battery cable.

The lower mounts can be tight.  I used a pry bar to get the alt out of my old Bravada.
