Here they are, I apologize for the crappiness of some, it's hard taking pictures of yourself, lol.

My name in Olde English lettering

Al Pacino (I was kinda drunk when I got that one, lol)

Praying hands

Lowrider man

Sacred heart, stabbed and bleeding, stitched up, with wings (Not finished) (Pardon my man boob)

2 stars inside my bottom lip

Just for the hell of it, there's a nipple ring

I'm about to get a few more.

*2 swallows on each side of my chest with a banner in their beaks with my dad's name and when he was born and when he died written on the banner

*A tattoo for my mom. Not sure what. She's a reporter, so something related to that

*I've thought about getting "Crack Kills" tattooed on my lower back. Somehow I think that would only be funny for about 10 mins, lol.

Mine are being downloaded as I type...

So here's what they are/mean to me in chronological order:

1. Moon on my left ass cheek. It's a man in the moon, plus 12 stars, which represent the astrological symbols. It was my first tattoo and I got it when I was 18, so in 1994. It was significant for me because astrology has always been a big part of my life, and I have always had a fascination with the moon. I also have it because then I can REALLY moon people . I did not design this tattoo myself. I actually found it on a cardboard box and held onto it until I was ready to get it a year later. Unfortunately, it was poorly inked and it has faded and blurred since when I first got it. You can see from the picture it is like that. I am looking into either trying to get it redone (I don't even know if it's possible), or I will have to get it covered with something else. Actually,I will start a new thread for suggestions on what I should cover it with. Even though I was an adult, I still hid this tattoo from my parents for years. It sort of came to the point that I just forgot to tell them since it had been a non-issue for so long. The found out when I was 21 by seeing a picture of it in one of my photo albums. (yes, that is the crack of my ass ( | ) )

2. This one is the symbol for the planet Saturn, with the planet itself entwined with it. I designed this tattoo myself. I should note at this point so I don't repeat myself that every tattoo on my body has deep signifigance to me. Well, maybe not so much for the first one, but it still meant something to me. Anyway, I got this one when I was 23 or 24. It's on my right upper thigh. It is important to me because Saturn is my ruling planet for my specific birthday (February 8), plus it is the historical ruler for Aquarius in general. I inked Saturn in red because of my hometown Redbridge. I wanted Saturn to be red so that I would always have a piece of home with me.

3. This tattoo is on my right calf on the back. It is actually two symbols combined. The first is the circle and halfmoon, which is the Egyptian hieroglyph for the moon. This part of the tattoo is important because, again, of the moon (as I mentioned in #1), plus I also have a deep fascination with ancient Egyptian culture. I have always thought they were so advanced and interesting. The second part of the tattoo is the Aquarius symbol, the two waves of water. As you can see, there has so far been a theme with the astrology stuff, which is a big part of my life. I originally was going to get a native stylized frog instead of this one, but I didn't like any of my drawings that I had come up with. Then I saw the moon hieroglyph and I thought that it would look cool with the Aquarian symbol. My friend and I headed down to the shop only a few minutes after I had decided and had hers that she wanted done and mine inked. This tattoo also is where I came up with my screen name. I got this tattoo when I was about 26 or 27. (and yes, I know I haven't shaved my legs today)

4. This tat I got last summer. It's on the front of my left shoulder. My girlfriend and I both went and got one each. She got a stylized butterfly on her upper back in the centre. I chose to do a medicine wheel in Cree style. This one is important to me because of my native heritage, plus my girlfriend is also Cree. It has the medicine wheel in the middle and the rest of the tat is a sun. I designed this bad boy myself as well. If you don't know what a medicine wheel is, click here. I went with blue instead of black because it worked better with the design. I also didn'tdo the medicine wheel exactly right because the red shoul

First I don't where the canvas is and second I'm not sure....

Curious about the cost, too. Probably too much color to be affordable.

**edit** very nice work lolo, mOOnwater and paddle_grl Those all look great and I like how you really connected them to yourselves. That is also why I am thinking of a Rasta lion for mine. Peaceful music that I can't resist. Not sure how a central Missouri boy came to enjoy reggae and African music, just lucky I guess. All it takes is an open mind.

ok so here are mine....the little blue one was my first....on left shoulder...the chinese symbol...in the middle of my shoulder blades (black)...is for mindfullness...following the 12 paths of rightousness in the buddha's teaching....kind of like right thinking....realising that a flower is a flower...enjoying things for what they are...and being mindful of other people......same with the butterfly on the upper stroke..it's red purple and yellow......the tribal butterfly is on my lower back (black)....it's a butterfly..lol...which to me stand for everything being in transition...we are all evolving and changing...so yeah...that's all of them so far....few more to go... I still I think I want "place hand here" on my ass....nothing like a good ol' whack! lol....(they have better color....but taking pictures yourself with a crappy camera is hard) I am most proud of the tribal butterfly....as the most design work went into it...

p.s Moonie and LoLo...nice nice tattoo's!!! Boccomo....depending on what size you wanted....the color doesn't make it expensive...it's the size and the detail....my butterfly on my lower back has a lot of detail...and it was about $150.. not sure...but it's about 4 inches by 6....

Ya, you need to worry about the detail on the lion, not the colour, Bocomo. My ass-moon had a pricetag of about $100-$120. It's about 2.5-3" in diameter.

Paddle...I have always wanted to get a tattoo on my ass that is a roadsign that says, "Exit only"

My worst one was the one on my calf. It was only about 20 minutes to do it, but it was utter hell. I almost told him to stop it was so bad. I have never experienced that sort of pain getting a tattoo, and it took me a long time to want to get another one. The guy I went to for the one on my shoulder was super gentle. I actually can say it was more annoying than painful to get that one.

My girlfriend is getting a second one (she's got the bug now!). I am going to design it later on today. It's going to be a native turtle.

Ya, mine's on the back. A lot of people have told me that on the side it is easier. I think it has a lot to do with the artist as well, because I actually have to get mine retouched because he really gouged me. Some artists have a lighter touch, that's for sure. This guy freakin' KILLED me.

totaly agree with you on that...my biggest one was right over my lower back and spine...no scaring...no nothing...no need to be retouched..I go to some one else for the last symbol.....and it's a little puffy here and there..and not to mention the tattoo ink isn't nearly as black as the other one..and it's 3 years newer......that's why you should always stick to the same person that does a good job....they hurt much less when someone knows what they are doing...
