Yeah that looks like it is in great condition body wise other than the front bumper headlight area which should be cheap to fix. Looks like you have some cleaning up to do inside the engine too. You going to pull the whole thing out and replace what you think needs replacing? or just going to fix the things you know need replacing?

Got the truck for 100 bucks. I already took the front left fender off and beat some of the dents out, but I think I'll just get a new one because its kinda twisted. Took the headlights out and the marker lights and the parking lights. Trying to get the grille shell off, but its not coming for me. I think I'll just take the bumper and valance off first.
I'm just gonna get the engine running while its in the truck. If it requires rebuilding, I'm just going to get a new engine. Its not worth rebuiliding with so many miles on it. I think the timing chain has already been replaced, and not properly timed, so if thats the case, thats excellent!

Jharper... check your first post in this thread. I think Brian worked on it a little...

Nice price, it looks to be in great condition, you would get more than what you paided by just selling it to the junkyard. I got $175 for my 2 door 88 nissan sentra (POS, but it was a fun economical first car (not so good on polution once it started burning oil)). Yeah you should be able to make that truck very nice in no time.

Yeah. Dave told me about that. He said he's been working to delete and edit all the hacked posts.

Anyway, some of my co-workers were joking with me about putting it on airbags and puttin 20s under it, I said it was funny they mentioned it. Thats exactly what I want to do with it!

Sounds like a good deal, Just to say tho, you might want to replace all the vacum lines and the timing chain are a little bit of a pain, but if the price is right go for it. The engines in those thing last forever. Good find

Well, I began the tear-down. I'll keep updating!

BTW, Anyone got a frickin air ratchet I can borrow? lol j/k Mine is FUBAR, so I'm limpin it with a good ol' hand ratchet.

Anyway, does anyone have any tips or can tell me whether there will be a timing chain tensioner? I know this is the Blazer forum, but we have some awesome techs here.

I may could have had it torn down by now and ready to be finished tomorrow if I had my pneumatic tools working.... Ratcheting by hand was a thing of the past for me, but all I have to do is take the fan off and I'll be set, but the lack of daylight has run me back in the house.
