Sorry for the delayed response. Once you get the locking hub cap off, you will need to remove the two retaining rings (axle hub and axle shaft), then remove the hub clutch assembly. After that, if you are attempting to replace the wheel bearings, I believe that you can use a wrench to remove the outer lock nut, the lock ring, and the wheel bearing inner adjusting nut. Next, remove the hub & disk assembly and the outer wheel bearing. Then remove the oil lip seal and inner wheel bearing. Last, remove the bearing races from the hub assembly using a drift punch. For reassembly, carefully press in the new bearing races in either side of the hub assembly. Pack the new bearings with suitable wheel bearing grease and install the inner bearing in the hub assembly. Carefully install the oil lip seal. The rest is reverse of disassembly. When reassembling the locking hub, adjustments may be necessary. A spanner wrench will be necessary to complete the adjustment process. I can post the process, but not having done this in a VERY long time, I can't elaborate on it. Hopefully Rob (Chevy Lover) will see this thread and give some needed insight into this process.
