Well my gibson cat-back that i ordered 2 months ago finally came in. It was a super easy install, minus the fact that i forgot my hacksaw and spent 15min trying to wriggle out the stock pipes.   Overall it was an easy install, about 45min.

So here's a sound video for those considering it...

click

...and yes thats a mud streak making my new chrome tip look ****ty :(

Nice, whered youd did you get it from and does it really feel different? Also, do they make a dual tip thats flush with the bottom of the bumber end, kinda like an Escalade or somthing.

@ jst4sho - i ordered it from a company in alberta called Cap-It truck accessories.   i definitely noticed a difference in throttle response, it seems to be even quicker off the line now. As far as i know this is the only style they make for our trucks, i did a bunch of research before, and gibson only makes the single tip side swept style.   this exhaust combined with my k&n cai has made an incredible difference in my truck, i'm loving it.

You should be able to find it just about anywhere on the web (Summit Racing, 4wheelparts.com, etc.) The tip you are talking about is not possible unless you custom fab it. Which would be easy, just cut the pipe off at the straight part and extend it to the rear of the bumper adding a tip. I think I am just going to go with a single 3" outlet tip right under the bumper when I get mine done with a Flowmaster 40 (or 44) series muffler.

It ended up being around $410...with a good chunk going to the shipping costs, living in an isolated place has it's drawbacks.

my brother has the gibson cat back on his 98 jimmy. talk about an easy install! it took longer to get the orginal pipe out than it did to put the new system in. we both really like the tip exit better now than where it was with the stock system, it looked strange there. sounds good too, not too loud but healthy. i have been nothing but pleased with gibson products so far. ive got a system on my dmax that is awesome. the fit and finish on both my system and my brothers is second to none!

nope, no headers hiding in there...just the cat-back

i think a high-flow cat will be next, or a cat-delete since we don't have emissions testing up here
