not worth it just get some shackels from synergy off road or 3 leaf fab and a tbar crank the keys allow to over crank the bars and will put alot of stress on ball joints and high angles on the cv shafts. If you want 3" go with a body lift for the first gen. use the search in the forums and youll find lots of info.

WolfPack -> RE: 3" lift (3/27/2008 3:56:21 PM)

nay.  3'' torsion bar lift = exploding front end.

And thats $150 shipped...pretty pricey considering it still only 2'' shackles.  This 'kit' is like the core of the Rough Country 2'' lift...but apparently different keys, and without the re-angled control arms to help with ball joint wear.

I dunno..someone might consider it a yay...but I wouldn't put this on my blazer.

tjwiens91@hotmail.co -> RE: 3" lift (3/27/2008 4:01:45 PM)

ok cool.
Wolfpack i noticed that you have 30x10.50, would those fit on 15X8 rims?

WolfPack -> RE: 3" lift (3/27/2008 4:17:25 PM)

I'm running 15x8s....so yes..yes they would [:D]

95BlazerLt4wd -> RE: 3" lift (3/27/2008 5:16:47 PM)

and considering you have a 2000, that wouldnt fit your blazer anyway... those shackles look like i could snap them like a pencil...

tjwiens91@hotmail.co -> RE: 3" lift (3/27/2008 5:51:41 PM)

yeah stupid question, sorry.
An wolfpack, do you rub at all? Any lift to make those fit?

WolfPack -> RE: 3" lift (3/27/2008 6:50:38 PM)

I've got a 1.25'' lift up front, 1.5'' up in the back, and I cut at the back of the wheel well to allow normal turning (also removed the lowest bolt on the wheel well cover).   Now I only rub at absolutely full lock with a bit of suspension compression...but only on the wheel well cover, which I plan to trim in the near future, but for now, I just plan ahead and don't look for the tightest parking spots.

Most of my rubbing issues are due to the 4.5'' of backspacing on my rims, which puts the wheel in the danger zone with the fenders.  I believe with stock 6'' of backspacing you'll avoid the fender issue and touch the frame, which doesn't provide a cutting danger to the tire like the fender can.

tjwiens91@hotmail.co -> RE: 3" lift (3/27/2008 7:05:26 PM)

So if i dont want to deal with any rubbing at all what backspacing wuld you recommend

a_tack -> RE: 3" lift (3/27/2008 9:27:50 PM)

30x10.50's will fit on a stock 15x7 rim

tjwiens91@hotmail.co -> RE: 3" lift (3/28/2008 2:16:35 PM)

ok sweet thanks for the help

94blueknight -> RE: 3" lift (3/28/2008 5:33:29 PM)

ya that lift is def not worth the money ur better off just gettin a body lift for the same price or cheaper.

and ya the general rule for ur tires on ur rims is never go more than 4" wider than ur rim so 31's will fit on ur stock rim size but 33's wont

tjwiens91@hotmail.co -> RE: 3" lift (3/28/2008 5:58:10 PM)

I would like to get a body lift, but there is so many things you have to do just for 2", I will most likely stay with the shackles an t-bar crank for a while untill i get more time an money. An my tires are going bad so parents will be buying me new tires i hope. Rims are on me though
