How about just glueing a pice of plastic drop cloth type stuff that would deflect the water around the speaker???

You can always get some of those rubber pod things that fit behind the speaker. I know I've seen them at Pep boys in the past but its been a long time since I've seen them.

I got my tweed in the other day, and tried my hand at wrapping one door tonight. It's not a pro job but works for me. I still need to finish the speaker area and the tweeter. Also thinking about doing a couple parts of the panel before I put it back into my truck.

lookin good u'll have to let me know how it sounds in the blaze. i want to do somethin in the back speaker wise cuz its kinda quiet in the back.

haha ya ik in front is all that matters since ur driving. but i just get sometimes from my friends that ride back there that its to quiet. so i was just looking into moving the speakers up on the door or something. what about kick pods between the front seat and the side pillar that seperates the front and back doors?

Got the doors back on and wired. Re-covered the upper panel with tweed and painted the panels. All I would have to do at this point to hear them would be to connect the amp up. I might start working on the substage again though first.

I didn't want to spend too much on them. I cleaned them, used automotive wax and grease remove, used a scrubbing pad on them, wiped again a couple times with the w&g remover, used some plastic adhesion promoter, then plasti kote vinyl/plastic rattle cans. I used the same paint on my cup holder and it's holding up great. We'll see how these hold up. I originally wanted to cover the whole door with tweed.

Yea thats the brand, it's just a flat black. It's what is commonly sold at the auto parts stores around here. I'm sure SEM or something might have been better. Well the cup holder I did before doesn't have any scratches. I've had tools, screws, other misc things in there and it hasn't scratched. I'm actually surprised how well that piece has held up. Considering I only scuffed it and painted it.
