Haven't "Officially" added my input.  In about a month I am going to be taking a 831 mile trip from here at Fort Riley to The Upper Penninsula of Michigan.  I figured that would be a perfect time to computer my MPG.

I've also been toying with swapping in a 5 speed and some 3.08's in the rear

You'll get decent highway mileage, at least...

Blazer is too heavy for 3.08s around town... Even with a 5 speed... A 2wd S10 would be good, with those gears, though.

They can but it will cause the check engine the to come on.  The O2 sensor detects to much oxygen in the exhaust.  If you really want to you can get away with 50% E85, 50% regular gasoline.  You'll probably need to change your fuel filters more often because of the alcohol dissolving the crud in your fuel tank and lines.

E85 refers to the percentage of ethenol... You'd want E50, lol.

I don't think the Blazer would like E85...

90% of my driving is in town and it's just a 2wd thats why i figured 3.08's but maybe 3.42's with a 5 speed would be better? would i really notice any difference?

Yes.

3.08 gives you less acceleration ability. You might be okay with a 2wd... but a Blazer is still kinda heavy for that...

My 4x4 Blazer with 3.42s on factory rubber could do 18 if a babied it.

I am getting 16mpg. This only happened after I put in a K&N air filter, just the stock replacement. Before that I was only getting 14mpg. I just put in Mobil 1 synthetic, so amybe it''ll go up a couple mpg.

I''m getting between 19-21 mpg with my 96 4x4 4 door. I have the 4.3L and I''m not sure about the gear ratio. I do about 85% Hwy driving and the rest in a rural town; ie. Little or no stop and go. I''ve found that I''ve slowed down my driving style since getting this truck. I used to drive a Honda Prelude, and I averaged about 75-80 mph, but now I drive between 65 and 70mph on the highway.

Is that highway or city mileage? Probably just need a tune up
And no, unless it''''''''s one of the 07+ Hemi''''''''s with the Dodge version of Active Fuel Management (in the trucks it''''''''s 06/07+) you''''''''d be getting worse...

Currently I''''''''m getting an average of 16.9 MPG, but that''''''''s slowly going down as I''''''''ve been doing more and more city driving
Since I last reset the meter, I''''''''ve done about 1000kms worth of highway driving and like 300 worth of city driving... Averages about 21 MPG @ 69 MPH going up to 74 MPH drops that down to about 18 MPG or so...

My record high of 24 MPG @ 74 MPH was done in Feb... Which means the winter gas mix, lol.

I''''m getting 18 city and 20 highway. Had to put in a cold air intake and full synthetic. But this is much better considering when I got my Blazer I was getting 12-13. I''''m sure my mileage would be better if I wasn''''t at 7200ft.Sorry, should have edited this into my original post but I couldn''t find it lol

Damn, i''m at a quarter tank left and I''m at 230KM''s "dont  know in miles"  Basically if this is a 72L tank i''m getting like 10-13mpg all city driving, no racing..... I guess i''ll try plugs and air filter.
