The PROMAX Performance Module simply wires into the factory harness of the IAT sensor. The ECU then readjusts the vehicles air/fuel and advances the timing curve to new performance settings.

Translation=makes the engine think the air coming in is colder (when it's actually not) and dumps more fuel in.  Pretty sure IAT=Idle Air Temperature.  Seems shady to me, but please correct me if I'm mistaken.

Also check out the Related Threads below for a better answer than what I can provide.

NO!  Do not waste your money on this.  It is only a trick to fool the computer which will figure it out via the other sensors and just start to ignore the IAT readings.  It is nothing more than a resistor.

Mass produced chips are crap. Too many variables in what can be, has been, and should be done to a motor for a one for all chip to work right. You'll just be wasting money unless you get a custom one made for the motor, trans, and the exact mods done to them.

i work at a lexus dealership and we put nitrogen in all our new cars and anyone that wants nitrogen in their tires. they say they hold pressure much longer than regular air. and the free green caps r no big deal.

A general rule of thumb, is "if it sounds too good to be true it probably is too good to be true". There are lots of gimic items on ebay, whether it be car parts or electronics. You have to find quality parts that look like they were written by someone who speaks english as a first language and doesn't try to use flashy things to catch your eye.

Magnets and resistors are cheap ways for someone to make some money, while making your car run worse. You'll get more mpg's or horsepower by sending me $20 and I will work some voodoo magic.
