really, we need to know what kind of power that amp puts out, and at what impedance levels.  WHat is the model fo the amp???

How much wattage do you want to run? If you're not trying to impress then 500-700 watts should be more than enough. Whatever impendance load the amp is rated at is what the impendance you will probably want to run at. For instance the zx750.1 you were looking at was rated at  375watts@4 ohms or 750 @ 2. To run at 2 ohms you will need some combination of voice coils either wired in series or parallel to give you that resistnace.

It is my personal opinion to stay away from kicker. I think there is better budget stuff out there.

I would go with some lower end JL Audio subs...maybe some w0's...they are nice subs, fairly cheap on ebay.  2 12's would be nice.  but for $100 a sub, umm...thats tough...maybe some Rockford Fosgates...just an opinion.  good luck

here....check out this site
www.woofersetc.com

there are some nice kicker & JBL subs on there
example: http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=3146

i would honestly stay away from the above mentioned w0 b/c they are garbage.  cant take any kind of decent power.

well what would be better the JBL sub you posted or a cvx, i think im just going to get one sub for now
and once i start working again get another one. so what do you think would be the best bang for the buck at 0-200? also, should i just buy the kicker zx750.1 for the subs and another cheap amp to run my speakers off of or should i get a multi channel amp? my price range just keeps going up and up lol.

edit: how are alpine type r's compared to cvx's and the jbl sub you posted

rockford p2s or p3s in 10s if you looking at tens I have 2 p2s with 800 watt pioneer amp and my side glass pushes in and out without the windows open. and sound quality is amazing. i think you can get them in a 4ohm for $90 i paid 110 but that was a while ago.

that statement right there is an oxymoron. You can not have SQ while damaging your ears.

all of the rockford punch series suck completely. PERIOD.....they type r's are a good sub.  As long as they are powered properly and in a good enclosure they sound very good.  I have a buddy running 2 12s on 2kw and they sound amazing

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA arent you supposed to be some big stereo guy here? Wow.

Fyi. SQ would be more damaging to your hearing than spl due to human ears being most sensitive to 2500-5000hz ranges.

im guessing that you are under the impression that SQ has more emphasis on the upper ranges of the frequency spectrum? SQ is defined as a sound system that can accurately play the music as it was intended while blending all frequencies together smoothly. You also listen to the music at a medium to low level. There isnt any possible way to damage your hearing with SQ
