i have up for sale a slightly used jet stage 2 module(part #20004s). still looks and performs as new. comes in original box with instructions, in fact it still has the original velcro on it unused. this piggy back module will be sent to you ready to plug in and go. takes about 15 minutes to install properly. will work on 96-01 auto or manual trans. check out http://www.jetchip.com/ for more details. retails for $329.95 plus shipping&taxes. iam letting go of it because i had to get my pcm flashed to run no egr. when they were in it i had them do a power program as well. i will give it away for $100. this includes shipping to touching 48 states only. if you want it to go to canada, add $20. please ask questions. i will answer all of them to the best of my knowledge.
sorry for pic size. cant figure out how to change.

Does this just plug into the OBD port?  And what exactly does it go preformance wise?

the module plugs into your pcm. just unplug the harness and plug the jet module up, then plug that harness(the one you unpluged from the pcm) into the jet module. you do need to connect power also. the instructions show you what wire to connect to(mine was a pink wire on another pcm plug). a quick splice connector comes in the kit. i noticed a decent improvement on my truck, performance and mpg.

i dont know a number for power gains. that has alot to do with what you have done to your truck. the stage 2 module is the highest output module. jet shows a 16 horsepower gain on the stage one(20004) on a 96 s-10. jet says up to 25 horses.

copied from website:

1996-Up GM vehicles without removable chips require the use of the JET Power Control Module (PCM). The JET PCM provides the same performance tuning as a JET chip and is the most sophisticated tuning device for late model GM vehicles available today. Add up to 25 horsepower instantly with simple, plug-in installation! Only JET Performance Modules provide exclusive, full range Dynamic Spectrum Tuning of the air/fuel ratio, ignition advance, transmission and various other parameters. Each program is track and dyno tested to ensure the most possible horsepower and drivability from each application. 50 state smog legal! Available in Stage 1 and Stage 2.

*For 1996-Current GM cars, trucks and SUV's. For earlier applications see Performance GM Chip section.

Stage 1-For stock or mildly modified vehicles. Fuel and timing curves are modified for optimal performance and mileage using less expensive, lower octane fuels. Programming is designed to burn fuel at peak efficiency, which results in improved performance and mileage. Daily drivers can use lower cost regular fuel for potential mileage gains, but for optimal performance gains use of mid-grade or better is recommended.

Stage 2-Designed for the performance enthusiast, the Stage 2 features more aggressive programming to make the most horsepower and torque available. Fuel and timing curves are extensively modified for peak performance and drivability. Requires use of 91 octane fuel, 180 degree thermostat and free flow exhaust. Also works well with aftermarket intake systems, mass air sensors, TBI spacers, etc.

the ecm in the vehicle looks at various sensors such as manifold vacuum, coolant tempurature, throttle position, and rpm, it then processes this information and adjusts spark timing, air/fuel ratio, and other parameters according to the tables stored  in the jet performance module memory. by recalibratting these tables jet was able to tune the engine for maximum horsepower and torque under various driving conditions.

by installing the jet module, these extra increases in performance enhance drivability, towing capabilities, reduce 1/4 mile times, and provide improved efficiency.

i hope this answers your question. if you have any more let me know. thank you.

Well...I am interested in it...But I'm curious what it'll do for me.  I run premium fuel anyway, but I have the 195* t-stat...would I have to get the 180*...also I have stock exhaust...plans to upgrade in the future, but not at the moment.  Also do you think there is any concern with tuning like this with 100k+ on the motor and tranny?

i ran my blazer a few weeks before i changed out the stat(had to mail order).i would suggest getting it. this module was put on my truck with 130k miles.this module does not void any manufactures warranty. i know that your not under warranty, but i was letting you know how safe it is(of coarse, alot is the driver and maintance). i dont know about the stock exhaust issue. i would think that the module should beable to see the difference, but i am not sure on this.

personally, i like the jet module better. just plug it in and go, verses the headache of haveing to mail out the pcm to have it reflashed, then if there is anything wrong with it, resend it back to have it fixed(like what happened to me), and have to get a ckp relearn. the power gains feel the same to me. i had to have mine flashed due to other mods and changes. my truck runs better now that the pcm knows what to think about everything that has been done, compared to the jet modules preprogrammed settings. if it werent for my other changes, i would of kept the module, but now i am happy with the changes.
either way you choose to go, i think you will be happy with the results. let me know what you decide on, and how it helps your truck out.
