Floor jacks work well.

Buy some huge truck tires...maybe 37s.  That'll be 4'' of lift from the tires alone!

Sorry didn't see you said cheap.  Floor jacks would be cheapest...but I have saftey concerns...use the jack stands for long term use.

The cheapest lift you could do is a torsion bar crank and shackles for your lief springs. That will give you 2 inches and will cost about 30 bucks. then do a 2" body lift. That will cost you about 120 with shipping from Jcwhitney. so all together you will get 4 inches of lift and it will cost about $150 bucks.

2'' BL for a 98-04 runs $220 (and jc whitney does not stock a 2'' kit for 98+ blazers from what I could find).  And as with any mention of the shackle and t-bar lift, you'll need to consider front end wear.  That's a hidden cost to the lift you're going to want to plan for....balljoints and CVs are not cheap if you have to pay to get it done.

Which brings us back to jack stands.  Or big tires.

Dang... I guess they don't make a semi cheap body lift for 2001. And its true that you may experience accelerated  wear if you do a t bar crank. I think i only went 1.5 when i did mine. If the ball joints have fittings (I'm not sure if the stock ball joints even have them) you would really want to make sure you keep them greased. Bottom line is that a tbar crank and shackles is the cheapest way to lift , but may cause more front end wear.
