as the title states. would a 4.3 and the occumpining(not sure if i spelled that right ha) tranny out of a 2003 s10 fit into my 1993 blazer which also came with a 4.3?  both trannys are auto. i know there are some differences. but im just wondering what would have to be done to do this.

- thanks in advance - Jordan

i dont think it will. i remember seeing somewhere that they r mounted to the engine differently so u would also need the motor. i'm not a 100% on this but i'm sure swartlkk will comment on this.

Different bell housing, case, and overall length and depending on the transmission in your truck (fully electronic 4L60E vs semi-electronic 4L60).

The overall length of the transmission is different from the one peice main case to the 2 peice main case.  And good luck with the electronics from the '03.  That is going to be one major headache as the newer PCMs want to communicate with every other module in the truck (the original '03 stuff).  If you do not have everything, you will likely run into problems.

Now, maybe you were thinking of putting your top end (heads up) onto the '03 block and use the transmission etc.  You'd likely need to measure and modify your driveshaft to fit appropriately.
