Not yet I am leaning towards and LS motor though I want to possibly pick up a LS6 and tranni combo and then get a limited slip rear end thats beefed up to handle the power I want it to put out!! But who know's if I come across a LS2 or any LS motor I can build it up to make the numbers I want it too and be reliable thats my main objective is reliability!!!

Your factory axle is the exact same one that's in the same year Camaro/Firebird (I've got no idea what's under the new Camaro...)

It'll hold for some decent power ;)

Otherwise, you don't have a lot of options unless you want to run different bolt patterns front + rear...

I can't remember if the 8.5" is actually stronger or not, lol.

Well if I swap out my rear end I will put in a corvette rear independent outta a C5 which is narrow and will fit and plus the best part its the same lug pattern!!
