At last & with great difficulty, I have installed my CAI. Spent all afternoon on it!
When I ordered it I figured it's the same engine with the air box on the same side, no problem but... of course, this is a RHD truck - what was I thinking! The heat shield did not fit, the bent pipe from the MAF to the filter was too long & the filter itself at 9" is a tight fit lying on top of a/c pipes. These suttle differences are there to make life a little more interesting/challenging. The mounting of the heat shield was designed to bolt onto the fuse box somewhere I figure but on the RHD this is now on the other side of the engine along with the coolant bottle, fuel injection etc. Anyway, I modified the heat shield, cut the bent pipe shorter by 1" & got it all in. Looks good. Pic's attached. Does not sound a lot different to before but I'll need to ride it for a while to see what results I get.

You wont get alot better performance or mpg but it usually gives it a deeper sound.
That RHD stuff looks pimp, but weird.

Sound is good. I'm not really expecting too much from this but I'll also accept any minor improvement. Big change usually comes with big bucks.

Funny, but we think the same about LHD.

Thanks. Will update sig today - after hopefully completing the roof light wiring. After the CAI install who knows what hiccups I'll have with wiring. Already I have had to remove a push button switch on the dome light/dimmer switch panel thingy which had been there for some external driving lights & replace this with 2 switches. (One for each pair on the roof).
The push button I refer to had been connected to spotlights which were on the front of the truck & sometimes with imports the customs people decide it does not meet compliance & the dealer has to removes them. So hold thumbs.
