I hooked up my fogs today and I was wondering if I should upgrade them to xenon lights instead of halogen bulbs??

If going with the xenon what color?

I have more pictures in my gallery!

Thanks

For a fog light, higher intensity does not always equal higher visibility.  If you were to go with a different color and wanted a better light, I would choose an amber output which will bring higher definition to the road surface in snow/fog/rain.  Blue light seems brighter which is just a trick of the eye.  It actually glares more, hiding surface details that you may want to see.  It is also annoying for on coming traffic if you do not have your lights aimed properly.

If all you are using them for is auxilliary lighting and/or for looks, then go with whatever color you like best, but be aware of your local laws.

Also worth noting is that any filter (how you get different color light) will deminish the maximum light output of the bulb so choose wisely.

Blue light is bad for the eyes.

It's the hardest for them to work with.

Plus, they put out less light, on top of being hard on the eyes.

Amber/yellow is what you want for fogs.
